Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about RMD Wizard, compliance audits, and how the process works.
Before You Buy
What is the RMD Database?
The Robocall Mitigation Database (RMD) is an FCC database where voice service providers must file certifications about their STIR/SHAKEN implementation or robocall mitigation programs. All providers must maintain accurate, up-to-date filings.
What exactly do I get for $299?
A comprehensive RMD Compliance Audit delivered as a PDF. It includes an executive risk assessment, itemized deficiency analysis with severity ratings, regulatory citations for every finding, forfeiture exposure estimate, and a prioritized remediation roadmap with specific language recommendations.
Who reviews my filing?
Your filing is reviewed by the compliance team at IceHook Systems. IceHook has spent nearly two decades building robocall detection and call routing infrastructure for North American carriers. The analysis draws on that operational experience plus continuous monitoring of FCC enforcement patterns, orders, and regulatory changes.
How current is your analysis?
We track FCC orders, enforcement actions, public notices, and STIR/SHAKEN standards on an ongoing basis. Your audit reflects requirements current as of the date of delivery, including recent changes to forfeiture guidelines, third-party authentication rules, and annual recertification requirements.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. 30-day, no-questions-asked, full refund. Contact support@icehook.com.
Getting Started
What is my RMD Number and where do I find it?
Your RMD Number is the identifier assigned to your provider's certification in the FCC Robocall Mitigation Database. It looks like RMD0005356. To find yours, go to the FCC Robocall Mitigation Database, click “View Database,” and search by your company name. Your RMD Number appears in the results. You do not need to log in to search the public database. Your RMD Number is not the same as your FRN.
Do I need to upload my filing or mitigation plan?
No. We retrieve your filing data directly from the FCC database using your RMD Number. You don’t need to upload anything, copy-paste your filing text, or provide login credentials.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Enter your RMD Number, confirm it’s the right filing, pay $299, and provide an email for delivery. That’s it.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and secure payment processing through Stripe. Your filing data is automatically deleted after 30 days, and we never share your information with third parties.
After Purchase
When will I receive my report?
Typically within 24 hours of payment. You’ll receive an email when it’s ready.
What if my filing has deficiencies?
The remediation roadmap in your report provides prioritized action items with specific language you can use to update your filing. You can take those recommendations to your attorney or use them to update your FCC certification directly.
Can I use this report to respond to an FCC cure letter?
Yes. If you’ve received a deficiency notice from the Enforcement Bureau, the audit identifies the specific issues the FCC is likely flagging and provides remediation language. Many providers use the audit to inform their cure response. The report is not legal advice, so if you’re under active enforcement, we recommend sharing it with qualified legal counsel.
Can I run a re-audit after I fix my filing?
Yes. After updating your filing with the FCC, you can purchase another audit at the same price to confirm the deficiencies have been resolved.
Scope and Limitations
What do you actually analyze?
We analyze the content of your RMD certification as filed with the FCC, including your STIR/SHAKEN certification option, robocall mitigation program description, provider classification, contact information completeness, and consistency with current FCC requirements and enforcement patterns.
Do you analyze my actual mitigation practices, or just the text of the filing?
The text of the filing as it appears in the FCC database. We identify where the filing language is vague, incomplete, contradictory, or inconsistent with the certification option selected. We do not audit your internal operations or technical infrastructure.
I have multiple filings. Can I audit all of them?
Each RMD Number requires a separate audit. Enter each one individually. If you need to audit more than five filings, contact support@icehook.com.
Is this legal advice?
No. RMD Wizard is a compliance analysis tool, not a law firm. Our reports identify deficiencies and provide remediation recommendations based on published FCC rules and enforcement precedent. We recommend consulting a qualified telecommunications attorney for legal interpretation, especially if you are under active enforcement.
